UV Supershield Technical Data Specifications

UV Supershield coatings are blends of of ultra high performance resins and fluoropolymer lubricants. These single coat thin films provide excellent corrosion, chemical and ultraviolet protection. UV Supershield is also applied to fasteners and various OEM components to provide longer life before replacement.

FILM THICKNESS: 2 to 4 mils ( 50 – 100 microns) Wet film ; 1 to 2 mils ( 25 – 50 microns ) Dry film.

The coating can be supplied in high gloss, satin and matt finish. Colours can be post added. UV Supershield will not chalk: testing has occured in Arizona, Okinawa, Hawaii and Florida. UV Supershield is applied in the same manner as conventional Heavy duty coatings,however that is is the only similarity. UV Supershield goes on thinner (1mil - lDFT), has exceptionally longer life, does not chip, yellow or fade and is recoatable in the field unlike PVDF. It is easy to apply and contains high solids of (60%). Coatings should not be applied in periods of high humidity as they will struggle to flash and may sometimes blush.

GRAFITTI PROTECTION: UV Supershield's super hard surface once crosslinked, makes it almost impossible for graffiti to penetrate the surface.

Preperation of surfaces will vary and consultation of the relevant preperation standards (ASTM) should be adhered to.
